CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!! LAKERS RULING!!!!

 

yeah yeah yeah i know here i go again bout my lakers.  can’t help it.  i been in lakers fever.  such an exciting time to be back in l.a.  to be back home.  was at at the coliseum yesterday for the lakers celebration— MAD CRAZY!  all them folks out in the street; all them folks in the bleachers; all them folks walkin’ and representin’ with all the purple and gold.  it was a day to be reckoned.  i was much happy for derek fisher who came back to l.a. to get the best treatment for his baby’s eye, severely damaged from cancer.  i was extremely happy for kobe who gave his all: blood, sweat, tears plus injuries, and sacrificing points to get the team involved.  i was extremely happy for phil who “cool as a cucumber” knows how to motivate and get the best from his players.  now he’s got the big 10, baby.  my daddy woulda said, “great day in the morning,them lakers are the best.”  he woulda be grinning his big beautiful grin.  maybe, coulda got him to the coliseum even tho he did not go for big crowds.  my daddy, yeah he woulda been happy and proud.  glad the l.a. powers that be decided that we could find a way to have a parade (with budget issues and all).  it was good for people’s morale; good for the lakers; good for the city and good for the nation/world.  we all out her doin’ the best we can with God’s help.  let’s make sure we continue to encourage one another and be positive.  i know a lot is going on: Iran fixin’ elections; phil spector going away to do a lot of time (time is not on his side, either); vic got out, hopefully go make some amends and be forgiven and play SOMEWHERE again; stimuluses still thriving and more comin’.  lot more goin’ on.  don’t fret, i’m gone write about city affairs, nation affairs and world affairs again.  right now reveling in my lakers.  was gone to texas for awhile.  got l.a. fever.   right now my daddy is saying: “everything gone be alright.”  he smilin’ down from above.  right on daddy, right on!”   somebody hit me up.  wanna get some comments.  wanna get some love.  wanna feel it.   peace from paj

mitchell this u? sent u emails at work and no response. what u talkin’ bout? the magic got landslided by my Lakers last thursday (June 4th). i mean we put it down. we can’t play around with the Magic. we is tired and needs to just sweep their behinds. plus, teams was playing street ball on us. denver was beating up something bad. but we showed their behinds. my daddy woulda said, “take that u M_ _ _ F_ _ _ _.” can’t really write out what he woulda said. anyway we is going to have a parade. will u have your butt down here from sacramento where u is a lauding the kings now? to no avail. yeah, i know i need to write about GM bankruptcy and all dem other things. i’ll get to it. and i definitely have my SC400 still. over 8 years. and it is lookin’ good, running good and getting me where i need to go. i’m feelin’ good. when we speak will tell u what i’se been doin’. it ain’t exactly all fun. work and life’s stuff has been keepin’ me mad crazy busy. holla, if u come to l.a. thanks for hittin’ my blog. one love paj

“Lakers, Lakers, Lakers and other Miscellaneous Ponderings”

Lawd! y’all must be something fierce upset with me.  Ain’t written in this here blog since February 24th.  I guess no excuse is good enough.  Tho, i’ve been mad crazy busy getting settled in my new condo in L.A.  Back home with my beloved Lakers who i believe are gonna take it ALL the way.  My daddy would be in heaven (oops! he’s already there). He woulda said, “turn my Lakers on.”  Even when he was ghastly sick lying in bed with lung cancer (i HATE cigarettes), he woulda said, “turn my Lakers on.”  Miss my daddy.  Anyway, looks like i moved back at the right time cause “we gone be dancin’ in the streets.” (more profound words–scroll down past photo)

  Real Proud of my team.  Of my purple and gold.  U know the Jazz ain’t right the way they booed us.  They always booing.  But, we gone have the last laugh tonight on our home court.  Plus, we spanked ‘em real good Saturday– 108 to 94.  What they get with all they booing.  I am ashamed to say i ain’t that up and up on my current events.  don’t have CNN (cable) right now.  plus, like i wrote earlier “been mad crazy busy.”  I know pirates been wreaking havoc and France and U.S. ready to kick their butts.  I know 72 year olds been robbin banks and then going to get a drink.  what’s up with that?  i know Obama still on the case.  now he is checking the credit card companies. YAY!!!  also, know first time home buyers can get a $8,000 and up credit on taxes if they buy by December.  A good thing.  Plus, no mercy for Blagojevich.  i’m still doing my freelance writing thing.  but branching out into some new endeavors.  more on this as things develop.  re-inventing myself.  it’s can be a good thing to re-invent yourself.  my daddy woulda said, “a rolling stone gathers no moss.”   so keep rollin’.   i’m glad i still got some readership.  send back some comments.   gonna do better with this here blog.   one love.  paj

‘Lawd, I Ain’t Had No Time To Write In This Here Blog”

 

 hey to all my readers.  will y’all please forgive me?  haven’t posted since february 13th.  i ain’t had no time to write in this here blog.  partly, because i been working on moving back to los angeles.  partly, cause i been demotivated.  but, i am back on track now on the motivation.  now the time thing is something else.  i am mad crazy busy.  gotta pack up a house, clear out junk, have a yard sale, lease this house, ship items, get my condo ready in los angeles, so i can move in.  YEAH, I’M GOING HOME!  my daddy woulda said, “Come on home baby,” don’t know why u left in the first place.”  “Going all the way to Texas.”  He woulda thought i had lost my mind.  i did, temporarily.  but, i’se better now.  so, please my ever faithful wonderful readers/bloggers, forgive me for not writing, in awhile.  i still got mad love for u.  still gone tell it like it is.  i know y’all missing my commentary.  lot going on.  stimulus packages, programs to halt foreclosures (Obama is on it!) and Madoff and Stanley still crooks.  yep, lot going on!  please holla back.  need some comments, for real, on this here blog.  pray a sista well.   one love… paj

“Sports, Sports, Sports”

        yeah i’m a sports girl. pittsburgh taking it all the way made me smile, even tho i’m a raiders girl for life.  pittsburgh is my 4th team, so better something than nothing.  lane kiffin didn’t last long with the raiders at all.  i hope the new coach (whatever his name is) proves better.  so much going on in sports.  michael phelps getting busted with a bong in his mouth.  i ain’t too mad at him.  u know the youth of america gone experiment.  hell, the old of america, too.  now he’s losing all kinds of endorsements.  plus, he got suspended from competing.  but the marijuana supporters of america coming to his defense.  he gone be alright.  my daddy woulda said, ” i don’t give a damn.”  i guess he wouldna minded either way what michael did/done.  my daddy wouldna known what a bong is.  i barely know what it is myself.  i heard the owner of the thing is trying to sell it on e-bay for $100,000.  there will always be opportunists.  what’s even more strange somebody gone pay it.  go figure!  then we got A-Rod (who they been calling A-Roid) admitting to wrong things  (taking steroids) way back to 2001 and 2003.  so far, he ain’t been suspended or nothing.  he’s the glory boy next to michael phelps.  my daddy woulda had more to say about this situation.  my daddy woulda said that Alex should have done it the right way, on his own poweresses.  Now my grandmama bertha, who LOVED her some baseball, woulda been too through.  she may have even let out an expletive.   don’t know what’s going on with the all-star game.  unusual, since b-ball is my FAVORITE  sport.  I DO KNOW MY BELOVED LAKERS ARE ROCKIN’ EVEN WITH KOBE SICK.  GO LAKERS FOR LIFE! well, sports goes on with the good and bad.  much to a lot of wives dismay.  wanna know what my readers think on Phelps; A-Rod; Lakers; Pittsburgh taking it all the way and anything else u got to say about sports.  leave a comment.    i’m out.  one love…paj

Lawd, did i get sick after i got back, from Washington DC. Plus, had some disappointing news that knocked me out emotionally. reviving now from both situations. what happened to my readers? i done gone down to 4 yesterday. one day this week it was zero. “Y’ALL KNOW I DONE BEEN TO THE INAUGURATION”

   Oh! what a day!  happy day! when Obama took my woes away.” sang to the tune of  “Oh happy day.”  i know there gone still be some woes, but im sure glad to see O in office.  i believe he gone do some good things.  change is gonna come.  just like sam cooke said (sang).  i was there! on the washington mall with the throngs of people.  even in the silver ticket section, i was far back, but we had dem big screens (thank u Jesus!) these are exciting times.  i wish my daddy coulda been here.  he woulda grinned forever.  he woulda said: ” i never thought i woulda seen it, a black man in the white house, running things. but it’s bout time.  he’s gonna do some good! A WHOLE LOTTA GOOD!”  yeah, my daddy wasn’t there physically but he was there in spirit.  and i believe like he woulda believed that O gone do some good.  is he gone make everything alright instantaneously? heck no! it’s gone take a while; a lot of work;  a lot of cooperation; a lotta passin’ of bills and a lot of prayin’.  but it’s gone happen.  YESTERDAY, DID MY SOUL GOOD, MY SPIRIT GOOD, MY HEART GOOD AND MY MIND GOOD!  my heart was full and glad.  be supportive of our new president. he’s gone need it!  comments welcome.  one love from DC… paj    p.s. black folk all up in the whitehouse now and not just cleaning

“INAUGURATION JUMPIN’ OFF”

an exuberant greeting to all my blog readers.  these are exciting times!  i am in DC, the “place to be.”  inauguration is gonna happen in 4 days. am i gonna be there? well don’t have the coveted tickets.  but may be out there in the throngs, if i decide to brace the cold.  and DC sho is cold. today i was told it is 10 degrees.  i am an L.A. girl.  know nothing about this weather.  i hope to get to something, tho.  a ball; a rally; a luncheon; a dinner; a fundraiser; a dance; a concert; a Dr. King celebration—gotta get to “sumthing.”  my daddy woulda said:  “u gone on without me.  i’ll be there in spirit, tho”  i ain’t too much for airplanes.”  he really woulda freaked after the hudson river crash.  anyway, i’m feelin’ good.  in DC with family; roland burris gone be in office; they gone get the dude that murdered (from what the eye can see) the brutha in Oakland; i’m moving back to Cali (sorry austin); and OBAMA GONE BE INAUGURATED!  can life get any better?  i think so.  always expecting.   gonna be the eternal optimist.  how bout u! can it get better for u  and why?!!!  holla back and let a sista know.  one love…one OBAMA!  paj

“U Need to Be Smilin” Keepin’ it Light This Blog

  hey blog readers! keepin’ it light and airy this blog.  tired of current events, especially incursions (that’s what they are calling the israel/gaza war) and such.  so instead of the forthcoming inauguration (which i almost wrote about cause i’ll be in DC,  so far minus tickets), i thought i would write about my smile   which u see on my gravatar  (what is that?)        on this blog site.  i like my smile.  in fact, i like people smiling.  what makes u smile?  my daddy woulda said i make him smile.  my daddy woulda said, when i was full of my antics, “u ain’t got the sense u were born with.”  then he would have smiled his flawless smile with straight even white teeth that ne’re a brace ever touched.  i miss my daddy’s smile.  i miss everything about him.  oh! gotta keep it light.  just remember to keep smiling.  no matter what.  smile and show the love.  if u have any smile stories or comments u wanna share, write them back.  wanna know.  even wanna see some of the smiles.  Obama could have gotten elected on his smile alone.  not to mention the smiles of his darlin’ daughters.  Smile back…one love  paj    footnote:  i wanna keep smilin’ so please TELL EVERYONE ABOUT MY BLOG!  to keep them smiling. links appreciated, too!

“So much going on; Praying Swayze The Best; Obama’s Economic Plan; BCS and More”

 

 

 Lot goin’ on in the New Year!  Patrick Swayze still fightin’ pancreatic cancer BIG TIME!  i applaud him and pray him well.  he even completed the first season of his new TV show, “the beast,” which started yesterday.  STAY UP, Patrick!  Obama gave a speech revealing more of his economic plan; he intends to increase business and make more jobs;  some republicans and Dems took issue with the way he wants to do this.  i say, he will get it done, by any means necessary with cooperaton from congress.  my daddy woulda said, “u can’t please everybody.”  i know O will try, tho.  he is the peacemaker.  he has diplomacy.  much needed!  things still crazy, crazy, crazy in Gaza.  to me it is not about who is right or wrong.  it’s about the killing has got to STOP!  bombing UN run schools is NOT acceptable. the truce not being honored is NOT acceptable.   i feel for the innocent being killed.  now Blagojevich is still BIG NEWs!  Impeachment proceedings have started.  With a court date coming as soon as January 29th.  they say those tapes gone reveal that he really did try and sell the senate seat.  we just gone have to wait and see.  seems to me like the public is always waiting.  waiting on our officials; waiting on decisions; waiting on things to get better; waiting on the truth.  my daddy woulda said, “i’m just gone wait and see.”  i’m waiting too!  Gators pulled off another national championship.  do u think the BCS sytem is good?  or do u believe there needs to be a playoff system?  write me a comment and let me know if  u believe changing the system WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE for the little colleges.   Remember be peaceful…be happy-it’s a choice.   i’m out  paj   oh! almost forgot, a BART policeman shot a man in the back while he was lying on the ground.   What’s up with that?  gotta see.  more waitin’. stay tuned for more.   hit me up with a comment or 2 on all.
